ARKD app: an active park, with the time left

Our story

We're Robbie Kelso-Heap and Ed Woodhouse-Bedak, two University of Sydney students who got sick of watching empty driveways sit metres from drivers doing laps of the block.

We came up with ARKD in our shared room, figured there's no better time to have a crack, and started knocking on doors. The idea's simple: your driveway's already there, so let it earn while you're not using it. You set the price, you choose when it's available, and you switch it off whenever you need it.

Who's behind ARKD?

We're Robbie and Ed, two University of Sydney students. ARKD App Pty Ltd is a Sydney company (ABN 93 703 225 530), and we build and run everything ourselves.

Where is ARKD available?

We're launching in Sydney, starting in Bondi, and adding more suburbs as hosts join. Want ARKD in your area? Join the waitlist and tell us your suburb.

When does the app launch?

We're launching on iPhone this summer. Join the waitlist and we'll let you know the day it's live.

Is there an Android app?

We're starting on iPhone. Android is on our list. Join the waitlist and we'll tell you when it's ready.

How does ARKD make money?

We take a share of each booking, and that's it. Drivers pay no booking fees and hosts pay nothing to list, so we only make money when you do.

Are payments secure?

All payments are handled by Stripe, which is used by millions of businesses worldwide. ARKD never sees or stores your full card details, and host payouts go straight to your bank account.

What do you do with my information?

We only use your details to run your bookings and keep ARKD safe. We never sell your information. Read our privacy policy for the details.
